Illicit drugs and firearm seized

Surrey RCMP’s North Community Response Unit seized approximately 200 grams of illicit drugs and an illegal firearm through proactive policing.
On September 16, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m. officers from Surrey RCMP North Community Response Unit (NCRU) observed a vehicle driving erratically in the 9600-block of 160 Street. Police checks on the vehicle revealed that it was uninsured. Police followed the vehicle until they were able to safely stop and take the two occupants into custody.
Through further investigation, police located and seized the following items from the vehicle:
- 42.77 grams of suspected Methamphetamine;
- 79.34 grams of suspected Cocaine;
- 34.45 grams of suspected Fentanyl;
- $2,000 cash; and
- a loaded handgun.
Both suspects were released pending further investigation, which includes obtaining certificates of analysis on all drugs seized as well as a forensic examination of the firearm seized. The vehicle used in the commission of the offences was seized.
