A traffic incident with fatality- 108th Ave at 133A Street, Surrey BC

On September 18th, 2022 at about 1:05 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to the report of a traffic incident in which a female was struck. The female victim did not survive her injuries. The driver is in police custody.

The integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service has been called to assist the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision investigation Team with the investigation.

Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined amount of time as officers continue their investigation. A road closure is in effect for 108th Ave between 133rd Street and University Drive. The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice.

The investigation is in its early stages. Investigators are collecting statements and canvassing for video. Anyone with information, including dash cam footage in the area of 133A street and 108th at about 1:00 am, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2022-141742.
