Surrey RCMP investigation shots fired in the Whalley area

All road re-opened June 17, 2022 at approximately 1:30 a.m

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene in the Whalley area for a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on June 16, 2022, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 10000-block of 128A Street. A male suffering non life-threatening injuries was located and is currently receiving treatment at a local area hospital.

The investigation is currently in the early stages and Officers are currently at the scene of the shooting managing an unfolding incident. 128A Street is closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic and the public is asked to stay away from the area.

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the area, between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
