Man injured in targeted shooting

Surrey RCMP is advising the public of a shooting that occurred in Whalley overnight and is requesting anyone with information or dash camera footage to contact police.

On March 25th, 2022 at 11:30 PM., Surrey RCMP received a report of possible shots fired in the area of 13303 Central Avenue. Frontline officers with support from the Surrey Gang Enforcement Team attended the area and located evidence of a shooting. A short time later, a male arrived at a local hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Surrey RCMP General Investigations Unit has conduct of the investigation. Officers are in the area collecting evidence, including CCTV footage.

Although the investigation is in the early stages, evidence indicates that this was a targeted incident which is believed to be associated to the Lower Mainland Gang conflict.
