Road closure due to a serious motor vehicle incident

Surrey RCMP is advising the public of road closures at the intersection of 92 Avenue and King George Boulevard in Surrey, BC.

On January 19, 2022, at 7:20 pm, Surrey RCMP responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision that involved a pedestrian at the intersection of 92 Avenue and King George Boulevard. The pedestrian suffered life threatening injuries and is currently being treated at a local hospital.

Investigators from the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collison Investigation Team (CCIT) are on scene conducting their investigation. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

Please be advised that traffic in the area of 92 Avenue and King George Boulevard will be disrupted for several hours. We are asking the public to avoid the area.

If you were in this area at the time of the collision and have dashcam footage, please contact Surrey RCMP. As well, if you were a witness to this incident and have not spoken to Police, please call us.
