
Update: victim injuries not consistent with a shooting

Surrey RCMP is updating the public on the reported shooting from this morning after it was confirmed that the victim was not shot.
Further investigation into the report of a shooting in the 10400-block of 140B Street, has revealed that the woman was stabbed, not shot. Although the victim was not shot, there is evidence that a shooting did occur at the location. The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
Surrey RCMP General Investigations Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation and the crime scene has been secured for a search warrant. Investigators still believe that this is an isolated incident, with no active threat to public safety.
