Shooting in Whalley sends one person to hospital

On January 6, 2022, just before 9:00 a.m. Surrey RCMP responded to the report of gun shots heard inside a residence. Police attended the 10400-block of 140B Street and located a vehicle leaving the area with a female victim suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police located the residence where the shooting is believed to have occurred and multiple persons have been detained. The investigation is very early stages however, this appears to be an isolated incident, with no active threat to public safety.
