
Highway 99 closed after serious collision

Surrey RCMP is advising the public of road closures following a serious collision in the southbound lanes of highway 99, in South Surrey.
On December 23, 2021, at 1:09 p.m. Surrey RCMP received the report of a collision involving two vehicles in the 3100-block of Highway 99. One male driver was transported to hospital in critical condition and a second driver was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collison Investigation Team (CCIT) has been called out to conduct an investigation into the cause of the collision.
Highway 99 southbound is closed at the 32 Avenue exit and all traffic is being re-routed onto 32 Avenue. Please avoid the area if possible as there will be heavy congestion. This closure will be in effect for an undetermined amount of time
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage that could assist police with furthering their investigation is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
