File # 2021-9177

Surrey RCMP is updating the public after charges were laid in relation to four separate gas station robberies that occurred in Cloverdale. (See previous release 2021-01-29).

The Surrey RCMP Robbery Unit began their investigation following a series of robberies with similar circumstances that took place on January 18, 19, 23, and 27, 2021.

With the assistance of the Integrated Forensic Identification Services, a suspect was identified, and later arrested at his Surrey residence on March 3, 2021.

Twenty-year-old Jake Eric Henderson was charged with four counts of robbery. He was remanded in custody and will be brought before the court.

Robberies are traumatic incidents for victims because they often include a threat of violence or assault, says Constable Joshua Bloomfield, Surrey RCMP Robbery Unit. We hope that for the victims of these four robberies, the charges that have been laid bring them a sense of justice. We look forward to now entering the court process.
