Surrey RCMP and IHIT investigate shooting in Fleetwood

Surrey RCMP is assisting the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) following a fatal shooting in Fleetwood.

On November 29, 2020, at approximately 7:40 pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a shooting in front of a shopping complex at the corner of 152 Street and Fraser Highway. A critically injured man was located. Paramedics attended and provided aid to the man however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

IHIT has been engaged and a5 re actively investigating the incident. The victim is known to police and this is believed to be a targeted incident.

While this shooting caused a risk to public safety as it unfolded, there is no indication of any on-going risk in the area.
