Surrey RCMP investigates shooting in Cloverdale

The Surrey RCMP Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) is at the scene of a shooting that occurred inside a residence in Cloverdale.

Shortly before 7:00 p.m. on November 16, 2020, a Surrey man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound attended a hospital outside of Surrey, for assistance. After determining a nexus to a residence in Surrey, the Surrey RCMP was called to investigate.

Early indications suggest this is an isolated incident with no on-going risk to public safety. At this point in the investigation, there are no indications that this incident is connected to gang activity.

Surrey RCMP SCU has assumed conduct of the investigation and is currently holding a residence in the 7300-block of 192 Street, pending further investigation.
