Police investigate collision at 192 Street and 68 Avenue where a pedestrian was struck

Update as of 8 pm on November 11: Surrey RCMP investigators have completed their on-scene investigation in response to the collision that occurred around 4:06 pm this evening.
68 Avenue and 192 Street are now reopened to all traffic.
The pedestrians injuries are considered non life-threatening.
Surrey RCMP is currently on scene at a serious motor vehicle collision in the Cloverdale area.
On November 11th at approximately 4:06 pm Surrey RCMP responded to a pedestrian struck collision at the intersection of 192 Street and 68 Avenue.
Initial indications are that there are serious potentially life threatening injuries involved in this collision.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined time as officers continue their investigation.
All south and northbound traffic on 192 Street is being diverted at 68A Avenue to the north and 67 Avenue to the south.
All westbound traffic on 68 Avenue is being diverted at 193 Street and all east bound traffic on 68 Avenue is being diverted south at 192 Street.
The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice.
The investigation into the collision is in its early stages. Investigators are seeking witnesses who observed the collision, or who observed the vehicle prior to the collision, to contact the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are also seeking any available dash-cam video.
