Pedestrian struck at 88 Ave and 164 St

Surrey RCMP Frontline officers and Municipal Traffic Section are currently on scene of a pedestrian that has been struck by a vehicle.

On August 27, 2020 at 8:53 pm Surrey RCMP received calls of a pedestrian that had been struck on 88th Ave near the intersection of 164th St in Surrey. The driver of the vehicle has remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

No determination into the cause of the crash has been made, however, alcohol and drugs have been ruled out. The pedestrian has been transported to hospital and is in serious condition.

88 Ave is currently shut down to traffic between 162 St and 164 St. It is not known at this time when the road will re-open.
