File # 2024-8269

The Fort St John RCMP request the public’s assistance with a single vehicle rollover collision investigation in Charlie Lake, BC.

On September 7, 2024 at 6:53am, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Jackfish Frontage at Highway 97 involving a driver who was trapped in their vehicle.

Frontline police officers attended and found a white Toyota GR86 flipped over with the driver pinned in the vehicle.

Fort St John Fire Services extracted the driver who was immediately transported by BC Emergency Health Services to the Fort St John Hospital for emergency care.

The vehicle was headed northbound on Highway 97 and it appears the driver misjudged the exit to Jackfish Frontage, said Corporal Shawn Ingham, Watch Commander for the Fort St John RCMP. We  believe speed was a factor but are trying to understand the totality of the circumstances involved in this collision.

The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are asking that any drivers in the area who may have dashcam video or observed anything suspicious in the area between 6:20am and 6:50am to please contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
