On July 10 at 12:24 am, Surrey RCMP responded to multiple reports of shots heard in the 12700-block of 66 Avenue. Frontline officers attended the area and conducted patrols.

While Frontline members were conducting the initial investigation on scene and patrolling the area, Surrey Memorial Hospital called Surrey RCMP to report a male attended the hospital and disclosed that he was shot. Officers attended the hospital and spoke with the victim. Evidence consistent with a shooting was then located in the driveway of a residence and on a vehicle.

Police believe this was a targeted incident as the victim is also known to police. The victim has been uncooperative with investigators and sustained very minor injuries.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit has conduct of this investigation and will be in the area for video canvassing. If you have any information including CCTV footage please call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file #2024-100183.
