Road Closure – Surrey RCMP investigating pedestrian struck

Surrey RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in South Surrey.

On June 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Surrey RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision near the intersection of Martin Drive and Southmere Crescent. A 60-year-old female pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle at his location. She was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

All traffic along Martin Drive, North of 16 Avenue and South of Southmere Crescent is closed until further notice. Motorists are being asked to avoid the immediate area as traffic flow may be affected.

Surrey RCMP Traffic Services has taken conduct of the scene and is assisting with the investigation. If you were in the area and witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage you are asked to call the Surrey RCMP non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 2024-84295.

The roads have been re-opened.
