Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision – Highway 10 and 184 Street

Surrey RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in an investigation into a motor vehicle collision that occurred on May 27, 2024 in the Cloverdale area of Surrey.

On May 27, 2024, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a complaint of a fatal motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 10 (56 Avenue) and 184 Street. An Acura sedan was west-bound on Highway 10, executing a south-bound, left turn onto 184 Street, when it was struck by a Dodge Ram truck, traveling east-bound on Highway 10. The subsequent collision caused significant damage to both vehicles.

The drivers of both the Acura and the Dodge Ram were taken to local area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger of the Acura suffered catastrophic injury and was declared deceased at scene by BC Emergency Health Services.

All parties remained at scene and are cooperating with the investigation. Alcohol has been ruled out as a contributing factor. The investigation is still in the early stages and police are still on scene.
