RCMP in Vernon are providing an update on the investigation into the discovery of a body in a Vernon neighbourhood this morning.

On January 10th, 2024, around 6:45 a.m., frontline officers from the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to investigate a deceased person found in the 4200-block of 34th St.  As a result of that investigation, criminality is not suspected in the person 's death and the BC Coroners service has been engaged and is conducting their own concurrent factfinding investigation.

"Our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of the deceased, states Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
