On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, Houston RCMP began an investigation into possible drug trafficking.
RCMP received information that an individual, known to police, was involved in drug trafficking in the Houston area. Police gathered evidence over the course of 2.5 months that is consistent with drug trafficking
On Tuesday, November 28, at 7:00 am, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Houston. An adult man, believed to be connected with this was located hiding in a neighbouring yard. The man was bound by a release order from a prior incident and was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
During the search, police located and seized 20 grams of suspected cocaine, $4000 in Canadian Currency and items often used in the illicit drug trade.
The investigation continues. Anyone with any information on this is asked to call the Houston RCMP at (250) 845-2204.
