Mischief

2023-1782
On August 15, 2023 Blackcomb Helicopters reported; sometime over night their yard gate was damaged (bent) possibly rammed by a vehicle. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lillooet RCMP, please reference Lillooet RCMP file 2023-1782.

Assault

2023-1794
On August 16, 2023 in the early hours of the morning a woman approached a by standard near Hwy 99 and Industrial Place for assistance in calling 911, she stated she was assaulted by her ex partner. Lillooet RCMP attended, she had a safe place to stay for the night. Following an investigation, a man was arrested for assault he was also arrested and charged on another related file following this investigation. The file has been referred to the BC Prosecution Service.

Suspicious occurrence

On August 20, 2023 late at night, a man called police from out of town stating his girlfriend messaged him saying 2 men showed up to her rural residence in a Jeep, they asked who was home. Lillooet RCMP members responded. The woman had left to stay with family for the night. The two unknown men had left long before police arrival in the area. Assisting Stl’Atl’Imx tribal police

On August 20, 2023 Lillooet RCMP were asked for assistance in providing transportation via boat for Stl’Atl’Imx police members to serve evacuation orders in the Shalath area, as Wildfire’s had hindered road access to the area. Lillooet RCMP provided assistance to Stl’Atl’Imx police by using a loan boat from RCMP West Coast Marine Unit to transport members across Seton Lake.

Break and enter

On August 22, 2023 a local resident in the Hop Farm reported his shed and been broken into, 2 jerry cans were taken. The property owner was advised to lock the shed going forward. Intoxicated man

On August 25, 2023 a local man reported an intoxicated man laying by Main Street, near Station Hill. Lillooet RCMP member attended and arrested the man for being intoxicated in public. The man was transported to Lillooet RCMP detachment and placed in the drunk tank, he was subsequently released in the morning when sober.

Mental health episode

On August 25, 2023 Lillooet RCMP received a report of a woman screaming behind the Shelter by the train tracks. Lillooet RCMP located the woman talking to her self. Numerous attempts were made to ascertain what the woman was going through, however police received no coherent response. Eventually the woman decided she wished to go to the hospital, BC Ambulance Service transported her to the hospital without issue.

Assault with a weapon

On August 26, 2023 Lillooet RCMP were notified that someone had been stabbed at Downton Park. Lillooet RCMP attended and spoke with a man who had a cut on his lip. BC Ambulance service gave the man a ride to the hospital where he turned down further assistance and was given a ride home. He was not forthcoming or cooperative with police. One witness provided a statement, following which a male was arrested but ultimately released the following morning when sober as the victim was not cooperative.

Stolen vehicle

On August 30, 2023 Lillooet RCMP received a call from a property owner who had reported he located a stolen vehicle on his property in Gold Bridge. The vehicle was stolen from Whistler. Whistler RCMP were notified.
