Hey kids! Now’s your chance to win prizes by helping the RCMP to celebrate its 150th birthday!

We are inviting kids from all over British Columbia to colour this cool sheet that shows the storied history of the BC RCMP from around the province.

Did you know that the BC RCMP is British Columbia’s provincial policing service? That’s right! The BC RCMP provides policing to 99% of the geographic area of our province and delivers service to 72% of BC citizens that live in RCMP jurisdictions.

The BC RCMP, also known as E Division, is a complex and diverse police force which provides service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to all but 11 communities in our province.

From remote small towns and villages to large urban cities—no matter where the call for service is received—our first responders are connected to, and supported by, a wide-range of expert RCMP police units. These units also help other police departments across the province with special services such as the use of helicopters, airplanes, boats and everyone’s favourite (expect maybe the bad guys) our furry friends—the police service dogs.

Challenge instructions

Colour this sheet then visit any RCMP detachment or community police office in British Columbia to receive a stamp. Once completed, scan or send a picture of your colouring sheet to: BCRCMP-GRCENCB@rcmp-grc.gc.ca and you will be entered into a draw for RCMP 150 anniversary prizes and have your artwork featured on the BCRCMP website!
