Between March 23rd and 24th, 2023, the Grand Forks RCMP and Fire Department responded to five suspiciously caused brush fires.

Each of the fires occurred during the evening and early morning hours. The fires consisted of small to medium brush and grass fires. The cause of each of the fires has been deemed suspicious.

On one of these occasions, emergency crews responded to a report of cedar bushes in the back yard of a residence had caught on fire. No further property or people were harmed.

RCMP, with assistance from the Grand Forks Fire Department, are investigating these incidents, and are asking the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
