RCMP Positive ticket program a success thanks to community sponsors

The RCMP’s 2022 positive ticket program has wrapped up for the summer and most grand prize winners have been awarded their prizes.

A number of community businesses in Terrace came together in the spring of 2022 and contributed to this program by donating prizes for kids who were caught doing something positive by the RCMP this summer.

Nearly 300 positive tickets were awarded to children of all ages in Terrace who were found wearing their bike helmets or engaged in other positive activities. Each ticket included a draw stub for a chance to win one of the final prizes.

Prizes were awarded as follows:

$50 gift card to Bubble Land – (yet to be awarded)

The support from the community was overwhelming and so many business were excited to contribute to this initiative, said Cst Kelly Cates, Community Police Officer, many young people had positive interactions with the RCMP as a result.

The Terrace RCMP want to extend a sincere thank you to all the businesses that made this event possible!
