RCMP Positive ticket program a success thanks to community sponsors
The RCMP’s 2022 positive ticket program has wrapped up for the summer and most grand prize winners have been awarded their prizes.
A number of community businesses in Terrace came together in the spring of 2022 and contributed to this program by donating prizes for kids who were caught
doing something positive by the RCMP this summer.
Nearly 300 positive tickets were awarded to children of all ages in Terrace who were found wearing their bike helmets or engaged in other positive activities. Each ticket included a draw stub for a chance to win one of the final prizes.
Prizes were awarded as follows:
- $100 gift card to Wild Bike - Jordan Chan
- $100 gift card to Wild Bike – Emma and Jacob McMillan
- $100 gift card to Wild Bike - (yet to be awarded)
- $100 gift card to Wild Bike – Brooke Beattie
- $100 gift card to Wild Bike – (anonymous)
- $50 gift card to A&W – Tom Kim
- $50 gift card to A&W - (yet to be awarded)
- $50 gift card to A&W – Liam Frose
- $50 gift card to A&W – Mason Biggs
- $50 gift card to Bubble Land – (yet to be awarded)
- Tackle kit and rod from Fish Tales – Bradley Dunfield
- Tackle kit and rod from Fish Tales – Anonymous
- $100 gift card to Canadian Tire (donated by Rainbow Inn) – Nina Freeland
- $100 gift card to Canadian Tire (donated by Rainbow Inn) – Bohdy Trappl
- $50 gift card to Sport Chek (donated by Kitsumkalum Men’s Wellness Company) – Jake Robinson

The support from the community was overwhelming and so many business were excited to contribute to this initiative,
said Cst Kelly Cates, Community Police Officer, many young people had positive interactions with the RCMP as a result.
