File # Battle of the Servers

Balance, agility, and nerves of steel are just some of the skills necessary to compete and ultimately win the Battle of the Servers during last week’s Nanaimo Marine Festival. Two local Mounties, Corporal Dave Laberge and Constable Nate Lord, were part of this year’s winning team. Carrying trays of drinks and negotiating through obstacle courses, the winning team is shown with their hard earned and much deserved hardware.

Both officers were overcome with emotion as is apparent in the photo taken shortly after winning the competition. It cannot be confirmed, however one source close to the winning team said the officers were overheard saying the win was definitely one of the highlights in their policing careers. Both officers are part of the Nanaimo RCMP Bike Unit and have already started training for next year’s event where they expect to defend their hard earned title
