Individuals requiring a Criminal Record Check must attend in person at the front counter of either the Main Detachment or the Guilford/Fleetwood district office and present two pieces of acceptable identification.

If Volunteering Within Surrey – Fee is Waived

There is no Fee for a Criminal Record Check if you are Volunteering within the City of Surrey. In order to have the fee waived you must provide a letter (on agency letterhead) generated by the organization stating that they require the Criminal Record Check.

This letter must contain the following information:

  • Applicant’s name,
  • Whether the applicant will be involved with or responsible for children or vulnerable people,
  • Confirmation that the applicant is volunteering,
  • The name and title of the person requiring the Criminal Record Check as well as the full address and phone number of the organization.
