The Surrey Wraparound (Wrap) Program is a partnership between the External link, opens in a new windowSurrey School District, the External link, opens in a new windowCity of Surrey and the Surrey RCMP. It offers a comprehensive and collaborative support program for students who exhibit signs of gang associated behaviour. The goal is to positively attach youth to school, their community and the home by building trusting and positive relationships.

Surrey RCMP officers work directly with students in the Wrap Program, together with School District and other support staff. Through activities like sports or other recreational programs, they build positive and trusting relationships with youth who may have historically had difficulty with police or authority figures.

The Wrap Program includes collaboration with parents, caregivers or guardians to offer family support and assist in setting goals to help the student be successful in school and build self-worth.
With 1/3 of Surrey’s population under the age of 19, the Surrey RCMP is committed to working with partners to ensure at-risk youth get the support and attention to help them stay out of gangs and the criminal lifestyle.
