Traffic stop yields 10 pounds of marijuana

Display of plastic bags of supected marijuana

On June 16, 2017 at approximately 12:15 p.m., members of the West Shore RCMP Crime Reduction Unit were in a commercial parking lot located at 835 Langford Pkwy, in Langford, as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a traffic stop was initiated with a pickup truck and 18 plastic bags of suspected marijuana was seized from the vehicle. The amount of marijuana seized neared 10 lbs.

A 45 year old man of Mill Bay is facing drug-related charges and has been released on a Promise to Appear on October 5, 2017.
