Surrey RCMP investigate shots fired in the Whalley area of Surrey

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene in the Whalley area of Surrey for a report of shots being fired.
At approximately 8:50 p.m. on December 23rd, 2017, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 13500 block of 105th Avenue, Surrey, B.C. One male suffering from serious injuries was transported to hospital. Initial investigation has revealed that a lone male described as an Asian male, approximately 5’10, 190 lbs, black hair and brown eyes was seen fleeing from the scene.
Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted incident, the involved parties are known to each other and does not appear to be related to the present on going gang conflict.
