Suspect charged in child luring investigation

Surrey RCMP arrested one man after he allegedly tried to lure a minor for a sexual purpose, and for making an arrangement with a person for a sexual offence involving a person under the age of eighteen.

On Monday April 3rd Surrey RCMP received a complaint of the aforementioned incident. An investigation was undertaken immediately by Surrey RCMP Special Victim’s Unit. Investigators arrested a suspect on Thursday April 6th.

Now charged is Kuljinder Singh BHATTI, 35 years old of Burnaby. BHATTI, who is currently in custody, is scheduled to appear in Surrey Provincial Court late Friday afternoon.

The allegations of assault involving this accused by a civilian during the incident are still under investigation.
