Assault victim located by police in Fleetwood

Surrey RCMP is investigating a serious assault after one adult male victim was stabbed.

On January 3rd at approximately 9:40 pm an officer spotted an adult male fall off his bicycle near 148th St. and Ashby Place. After police rendered assistance it was discovered the cyclist had been stabbed and rode his bicycle away from the scene.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit is leading this investigation.

Officers were able to quickly identify the scene and arrest one adult male suspect, says Corporal Scotty Schumann. Investigators have determined the victim and suspect, a 43 year old Surrey resident, were known to each other.
