Deceased person located near 88th Avenue and King George Blvd.

Surrey RCMP is currently near the intersection of 88th Avenue and King George Boulevard after a deceased person was located by a passerby.

At approximately 2:50 pm today Surrey RCMP were called to Quibble Creek just north of 88th Avenue in the 13600 block. A hiker spotted a deceased person near the creek and contacted police. Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit is leading this investigation in partnership with the LMD Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the BC Coroner’s Service.

It’s very early in this investigation however there has been no is no risk to public safety identified at this time, says Corporal Scotty Schumann. The identity of the deceased person has not been determined.
