On July 17th, 2016 at approximately 4:50 PM, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the neighbourhood of 100th Ave. and 132nd Street...
Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from several stab related injuries; the injuries were significant enough that they required treatment at hospital. The Victim was transported by land to a local area trauma hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The injuries sustained are non-life threatening, in fact, the male has since been released from hospital.
Initial Investigation has revealed that an altercation occurred between two individuals inside of a vehicle which resulted in the stabbing. It appears as though both males are known to each other. The suspect that fled on foot has not been captured by police; however, police have learned an identity and will be attempting to make an arrest as soon as possible.
This was a targeted altercation between two persons that are known to each other, says S/Sgt Dale CARR of the Surrey RCMP.
The investigation is still in its early stages, investigators are going to be in the area for few hours to gather evidence.
