Outstanding suspect involved in assault, theft, and crashes

Surrey RCMP is currently investigating multiple offences that occurred in the 14000 block of 88th Avenue starting at approximately 10:35am this morning.
The incident began when a Surrey RCMP officer pulled over a suspicious vehicle during a traffic stop. The suspect fled from police and subsequently struck an occupied vehicle nearby. Abandoning his vehicle, the suspect approached an occupied car, assaulted the driver and fled in the victim's vehicle, westbound on 88th Avenue. The victim was left at the scene and did not require medical attention. The suspect continued on 88th Avenue and collided with a second occupied vehicle. There were no injuries from either collision.
A short time later, police located the victim’s stolen vehicle, unoccupied, in the 11400 block of 137th Street. A thorough search of the area was conducted, however, the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as an South Asian male, 25-30 years old, wearing black clothing. He may have a black and white pit bull with him.
The investigation into this matter is in the early stages, and no further information is available at this time.
