Fatal motorcycle collision – 88th and 128th Street

On May 15th at approximately 7:25pm, Surrey RCMP received several 911 calls reporting a collision at the intersection of 88th Avenue and 128th Street. The collision involved a Yamaha motorcycle travelling eastbound on 88th Avenue and a Lexus RX330 SUV travelling westbound on 88th Avenue making a left turn onto 128th Street. The callers indicated that the motorcycle rider was severely injured and bystanders were administering CPR.

Officers attended to the scene along with Surrey Fire Services and BC Ambulance Service. Attempts to revive the male motorcycle rider were unsuccessful and the male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. The intersection of 128th Street and 88th Avenue will remain closed for some time.
