On May 9th, 2016 at approximately 7:45pm, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 7200 block of 152nd Street.
Officers attended and located evidence to support that shots had been fired in the area. The initial investigation has revealed that two vehicles were involved in the incident. The suspect vehicle was seen fleeing from the scene shortly after the incident. The intended target vehicle has been located. No one was shot in that vehicle but one of male occupants sustained minor injuries from glass fragments of the vehicle.
Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this is a targeted incident. Traffic along 72nd Avenue from 150 to 152nd Street will be closed for the next few hours while investigators gather evidence.
