Police officer injured in traffic collision

At approximately 3 pm today, September 14, there was a collision between a semi-tractor trailer and a marked police car. The semi struck the passenger side of a marked police car in the intersection of Jacombs Road and Westminster Highway.

The police officer suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital. At this time, it is not believed that there were any other individuals injured in this incident.

The collision is currently under investigation by the RCMP’s Lower Mainland District Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services and the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement agency.
