An envelope marked ‘rent money’ with bills of various denominations was recently turned over to the North Vancouver RCMP. A local, very honest - North Vancouver resident found the envelope in a shopping cart at a local grocery store. Police are not disclosing which grocery store the money was found at nor are they saying how much money was in it.

If the rightful owner of the money comes forward and can name the location and the amount of money lost – the police would be happy to return the money to them, said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP. Situations like this - when the person finding the money did what we hope someone would do for us - restores our faith in humanity.

The North Vancouver RCMP can be contacted at 604-985-1311.  Please reference file #2017-28814.
