On July 2nd, 2017 at around 7:20 am, the North Vancouver RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a cyclist and vehicle, a black 2008 Nissan Rogue, at Marine Drive and W 16th Street in North Vancouver .

The driver of the vehicle was making a northbound turn onto W 16th St as the cyclist proceeded westbound through the intersection. The cyclist collided with the passenger side of the vehicle as it entered into the intersection

The driver remained on scene and continues to cooperate with investigators. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be contributing factors.

The cyclist, a 27 year-old North Vancouver man, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

The North Vancouver RCMP are seeking the public's assistance and asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca
