RCMP crest - North Vancouver

At approximately 3:30 pm on Monday, March 13, 2017 North Vancouver RCMP responded to a shots fired complaint in the 800-block of East 12 Street. A 22 year-old male received injures from a gunshot and was taken to hospital. The shooting victim, a North Vancouver resident, is in serious but stable condition. Witnesses report seeing a black Nissan sedan speeding away from the crime scene.

This unsettling incident appears to be a targeted shooting, said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP. There is no threat to public safety. The active investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the North Vancouver RCMP Investigative Services Section.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect vehicle and the person responsible for the shooting. If anyone has information about this incident they are asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
