Dumpster fire reveals the body of a deceased female

Langley, BC: On October 20, 2017, just before 6 am, Langley RCMP was called to the area of 20150 Langley By-Pass by the Langley Fire Department. In the process of extinguishing a dumpster fire the Fire Department discovered the body of a deceased person.


Langley RCMP Serious Crime has assumed conduct of the investigation.


The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.


There is limited information as to the cause of the fire and the identity of the deceased, Police will continue their investigation and engage the appropriate partners to assist.


While the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, police are confident the remains are not those of the missing person, Kristina WARD.


Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase; no further information will be provided at this time.
