Police investigate shooting that left two injured

Coquitlam RCMP are investigating an overnight shooting which sent two people to hospital.

At approximately 11:56 p.m. on February 11, 2024, Coquitlam RCMP responded to a shooting in a parking lot near Barnet Highway and Pinetree Way in Coquitlam. Police quickly located a vehicle with two people, one adult female and one adult male, both suffering from gunshot wounds who were both transported to hospital.

We are in the initial stages of the investigation and we are asking any witnesses or anyone who may have dash-cam, surveillance or cellphone video, between 10:30 p.m. on February 11, 2024 and 12:30 a.m. on February 12, 2024 to contact Coquitlam RCMP.

The file has been assumed by the Coquitlam RCMP General Investigations Section (GIS).

Police are seeking any witnesses or persons who may have video footage, including dash-cam, surveillance or cellphone video to contact investigators.
