Coquitlam RCMP Need Your Help

The Coquitlam RCMP is seeking public assistance after a homeowner was attacked following an interrupted break and enter. The 60 year-old Coquitlam resident arrived home just before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 24th 2015 to find that someone had not only broken into his home but was still inside.
An altercation ensued and the victim was subsequently stabbed. As the victim made his way to a neighbour’s, the suspect fled from the 600 block of Smith Avenue in an unknown direction of travel. The victim required immediate surgery and survived the attack, however, complications have slowed the recovery process.
Police are now asking for help identifying a person of interest who was observed in the 1000 block of Smith Ave shortly before the break and enter occurred.
The person is described as;
- Caucasian Male
- Early 20's or possibly late teens
- 5'5" tall, 150 lbs
- Slight build
- Short cropped dark hair
- Clean shaven face
- Small upturned nose

Police are interested in speaking with this person. We believe that he was in the area at the right time and could have valuable information to assist us with the investigation
