File # 2017-36005

The investigation is continuing following an early morning shooting in our community over the weekend.

At approximately 3:00 AM on Sunday October 22nd, 2017, the Prince George RCMP received multiple reports of Shots Fired on the 2000 block of Tamarack Street in Prince George.

Multiple police officers attended the scene. A deceased dog was located in the driveway and evidence of gun shots was located both inside and outside a residence on that block. Persons located in the residence appeared to be unharmed and were uncooperative. The person or persons responsible had fled the scene before police were called and were not located.

At approximately 4:20 AM, the Prince George RCMP assisted paramedics with a call to a residence on Cuddie Crescent where the caller had suffered injuries consistent with being shot. The 20 year old male was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Investigators believe the man was a victim of the shooting on Tamarack Street.

Criminal Code Search Warrants were executed on both residences.

Through investigation, officers believe this was a targeted attack as a result of a personal disagreement between persons known to each other. There is no evidence to support that this incident was related to the drug trade.
