RCMP officers together with Law Enforcement personnel, and Special Olympics BC athletes in the community are approaching the starting line for this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) taking place across the Lower Mainland from June 4 to 7, 2019.

Officers running the Chilliwack leg of this year’s LETR scheduled for June 4, will leave from Sardis Secondary at 10:45 a.m. and complete the 3 kilometre run at the Pacific Regional Training Centre (PRTC) in their effort to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics worldwide.

Since 1980, Special Olympics BC has provided high-quality, year round sports programs for athletes around the province with the goal of providing individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunities to enrich their lives and celebrate personal achievement through positive sport experiences.

We are proud to support Special Olympics and the athletes from our community, says Sergeant Jen Koch of the Chilliwack RCMP. The Special Olympics athletes that take part in events are truly inspiring and give so much back to us who participate.
