The following incidents occurred over the past week in Penticton:

2017-10-11

2017-16421 At 4 pm, a resident of Green Avenue East reported a break and enter to their residence between 10 am and 4 pm. An unlocked rear patio door was entered. A Dell laptop computer and jewellery were reported missing.

2017-10-13

2017-16494 At 210 am, Penticton RCMP received a call of an attempted break and enter to a business in the 600 block of Main Street. Two males were observed trying to pry open the door. When confronted by the caller they fled in an older single cab Dodge pickup truck.

2017-16555 At 1045 pm, A Caribou Street resident reported that he returned home to find a male that had broken into his house. The male is described as Caucasian, 25 to 35 years old, bald, 5’11 tall, wearing a green cammo sweater and grey pants. The male was chased from the residence by the home owner and was not located by police.

2017-10-15

2017-16624 At 950 am, a Braelyn Crescent resident reported a break in overnight. They had just moved in and were not yet staying in the house. A back door was kicked in and a yellow air compressor was reported missing.

2017-10-16

2017-16653 At 915 am, a resident of Huth Avenue reported their unlocked vehicle was entered overnight. A Next Generation vehicle programmer with serial number X4071116AECB7 and a Makita cordless radio were reported missing.

2017-16655 An unlocked vehicle on Atkinson Street was reported to have had the ignition tampered with and a 300 watt Kenwood amplifier was taken.

2017-16656 An unlocked vehicle parked near Haven Hill had a bag taken that contained sailing gear, black Versace sunglasses, rain gear, a lifejacket and sailing gloves.

2017-16669 At 130 pm, employees at a Carmi Avenue business reported the building had been broken into. Video surveillance showed a male break a rear window with a rock and enter. This matter remains under investigation.
