On July 23, 2016 at 6:27 am, an officer with the Kelowna RCMP attended the Kelowna General Hospital in response to a report of a suspicious set of circumstances. Police have learned that an unknown man had entered into at least 2 separate hospital rooms, each occupied by adult female patients. When confronted by the women inside the rooms, the man seemingly acted confused and left the area.
At one point in time the man was reportedly approached by hospital security guards. He provided a seemingly false name to the guards, indicated that he was not a patient and advised that he was lost.
RCMP are releasing a still image from the hospital’s video surveillance system in hopes that the public can aid investigators in identifying the man.
The person of interest is described as:
- Caucasian male;
- 5 ft 6 inches tall;
- Approx 150 lbs
- Slender build;
- Brown hair, with a shaved head;
- Facial stubble;
- Wearing a navy blue t-shirt with a red logo and blue jeans;
