Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating a robbery at a convenience store Sunday.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on April 2nd a lone male walked into a convenience store in the 21600 block of Dewdney Trunk Road. He produced a knife and demanded money. The suspect left after getting an undisclosed amount of cash, and was last seen running toward 216 Street.

Corporal Amanda Harnett said, This was a brazen robbery that occurred in broad daylight, and caused significant emotional to the victim. Police will be utilizing all available resources to identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 30’s, approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red shirt underneath, a touque, and running shoes.

The Integrated Forensic Identification Section is assisting in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604 463-6251.
