Maple Ridge, B.C. – Ridge Meadows RCMP are investigating the robbery of a male.

On Monday February 27th around 8:20 p.m. a male was walking along Lougheed Highway towards Westridge mall, near 207 Street, when he was approached from behind by an unknown male. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen on foot heading west on the Lougheed Highway.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 20’s. He is approximately 5 foot 7 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and had a scarf wrapped around his face.

The victim was injured in the incident, but did not require immediate medical attention.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are looking for any witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call Ridge Meadows RCMP at 604 463-6251.
