About Ridge Meadows RCMP

The Ridge Meadows RCMP proudly provides policing service to the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows

Suivre :

The Municipalities of Pitt Meadows & Maple Ridge contracts with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to provide municipal level police services. The Ridge Meadows RCMP is comprised of 112 police officers with 50 civilian staff.

The Ridge Meadows RCMP is dedicated to protect and serve the citizens of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows through the prevention and reduction of crime, in partnership with our community.

When crime issues cross municipal boundaries, Ridge Meadows Detachment maintains its strong partnership within the larger Lower Mainland District Regional Police Service . This structure facilitates the coordination of a cooperative framework of all detachments within the Lower Mainland and allows us to take advantage of the operational effectiveness and efficiencies of a number of integrated policing units. We can also call upon resources from the RCMP's provincial and federal policing components (Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Service, IHIT,Air One, etc.) whenever they would be of benefit to the community and our policing efforts.

What We Do

From 24/7 patrol and emergency response to proactive and regional policing, our team is always working to create safer, healthier, more vibrant neighbourhoods throughout our jurisdiction. We handle around 30,000 calls for service each year ranging from noise complaints and requests for information to life and death emergencies.

To be truly effective managing this dynamic, diverse and demanding workload we work hard to develop innovative approaches to traditional police work and to get proactive about public safety issues that are beyond our traditional mandate to resolve.
